THE 10,000 ABLE INTERNS EXPERIENCE

Our programme is designed to give students with disabilities a flying start at building their career. We match you with a paid internship in a sector of your interest, and support you with pre-internship training and development. Applications are open from Monday 24th October 2022 until Sunday 22nd January 2023.

Submit your application

Select up to 3 sectors of interest, and submit your application with a cover letter and CV for each. Make the most of our application training sessions to help you prepare.

SEPT-NOV

Complete interviews and assessments

Our companies will review applications, focusing on your potential and enthusiasm, and will reach out should they wish to take your application forwards.

NOV - JAN

Receive your offer, start training

Successful candidates with be emailed details of their role, and gain access to pre-internship training and development through 10,000 Able Interns.

JAN-APR

Your internship begins

Start your paid, 6-week+ internship, be supported by a mentor, and kickstart your career.

WHO ARE OUR CANDIDATES?

Our eligibility criteria has been carefully created through extensive research and collaboration to provide opportunities to disabled students and graduates who face the greatest social and physical barriers to access

You are eligible if you experience social/physical barriers because of:

Sensory, physical or social/communication impairments
Chronic mental health or neurological disorders
Other social/physical barriers including chronic pain, mobility and dexterity issues

And you:

Are studying at a UK university at undergraduate or postgraduate level
Have recently graduated from a UK university (from 2019 onwards)
Have completed A-levels, aged 18+, on a gap year with the intention of going to university
